Default Any Grand Prix show jumping south of Atlanta to Columbus GA?

We've just moved in north of Columbus GA and I wonder if there are any high level jumpers to go watch.

I always enjoyed the American Invitational in Tampa, and in Arizona we'd sometimes go see the big evening class at the shows at WestWorld.

What's around to go see in this area?

There are plenty of things in Atlanta, but are you asking if there is anything closer to Columbus than that?

Yes, looking for things south of Atlanta down towards Columbus.

Where are the big shows and what organizations are putting them on?

    BWAHAHAAHAHAHAHA! No.

OK, there are a few rated shows in Auburn, AL but they are newbies to the scene and are maybe a 5K GP at best. After that, Jacksonville, Gulfport, Atlanta would be your closest thing to 25-50K GP classes. There's some nice eventing at Poplar though...

You are kidding right? Conyers will be the closest thing to you.

I am going to be at the Atlanta Spring Classic (Mar. 24-Apr. 3) at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers, GA!! They have two $25,000 grand prixs that should be fun to watch. There is info on this website http://www.classiccompany.com/showinfo.html#asp

I thought as much. Eventing is my main thing, so being 20 minutes from Poplar Place is *nice*. Patrick is going to live there while we build a barn at our new place.

Conyers is 2+ hours away, not out of the question to go watch, especially if I can find a nice detour on a diagonal line rather than going up through Atlanta.

What about local stuff then? Poplar has schooling shows constantly, but a change of venue might be nice.
