I use two Honda EU2000s hooked in parallel. With that I can run the A/C, the microwave, the radio, and a couple of lights.

Our LQ is a "weekender" and pretty basic.

If you want a real RV type generator they start at about 3500 watts and go up. Google "Onan generators" and you'll get an encyclopedia of information.

For requirements of various common devices, see http://mayberrys.com/honda/generator...quirements.htm

We are looking at the Onan 4000 gas gen. We have an onboard gen now, but it is just too loud, so we have been toting along our Honda 3000 portable to plug into. It is so quiet.

We are removing the loud gen from it's mounting and replacing it with the Onan. It is silly to pack the onboard gen and not use it, and take up valuable space in the tack room with the portable gen and a gas can.

I've read all the lit. on the Onans, but I had read all the info on the one that turned out to be so loud too. The info on noise level was quite misleading on that one. I was just looking for some real first hand experience.

    Thanks!
