Please look for my last update. Thank you, Denise.
    -------------------------------------------

Last update - Great news on the mom front. Mom has completely recovered from her coma, she is now talking and eating like normal. She should be coming home from the hospital tomorrow. Thank you everyone who gave her jingles... This was such a close call. It really means a lot to me.

It has been determined by her doctors that it was a reaction in her stomach between Coulmiden and Celebrex. The celebrix caused stomach bleeding which couldn't heal because of the coulmiden.

Updated - People please respond. My mother is in the hospital and is giving some slight responses. Please tell me you have seen this before? We were told she was brain dead, but she is blinking her eyes, and I think nodding to questions. Please anyone who has experience either good or bad, please respond. http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...milies/cry.gif Please, I think she is going to make it.
    --------------------------------------------

This isn’t horse related but this is the only place I can go to get some support. My mother has been dealing with cancer for the last five years. Well, to make a long story short, she had chemo three days ago, and she unintentionally over dosed on her blood thinning medication. She wasn’t really up to thanksgiving, but she did have her family around her yesterday. She took a terrible turn for the worse last night and started having seizures, which my father noticed very quickly. She’s now in the hospital and she has a 50/50 chance of surviving.
Please send some jingles her way… she really really needs them. http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...milies/cry.gif

Ahhhh, spring is here. The birds are singing, the trees are budding and the paddocks are making their annual transformation from cake mix to cookie dough.

Sending some jingles your way and hope your Mom is much improved by the morning. You are located close to some great medical facilities and I'm sure she is getting the best of care. Stay busy and hug a horse if you have one handy.

Jingles and more jingles from Connecticut.

My Mom was also diagnosed with cancer this past summer and she had to go through chemo and radiation that made her so sick. It was awful so I know how you feel.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your Mom!!!

Lots and lots of jingles for your Mom. She does sound like a fighter and she knows that she is loved.
