Default For the friends of County

There is a story on the Minnesota Public Radio website
about the widow and ex of County, aka Glenn Benson,
and how these women have teamed up to run the horse
farm. You can read it at http://minnesota.publicradio.org/dis...horse-farmers/

Thanks, Robin. Nice to know how things are going since we lost County. Not really a surprise that those who cared for him and know how he cared for his farm would pull together to try to keep it alive.

We've lost a few members over the years, and I often wonder if families are doing ok after their loss. We usually never know.

Thanks for letting us know about county's family and his farm. I hope the ex finds her dream place, and Mrs. Benson is able to keep the farm.

I think that article says a lot about what type of person County was! Not too many people have an X who is willing to move in their widow to help run the farm.

    He is greatly missed here!

Both of his ex wives remained friends with him after their respective divorces.

Great piece. I hope they can make the farm a success.

I could not hear the story, but the write up was very interesting.

Odd how life goes on sometimes, is it.
Looks like they are both making a go of it and good hands on the farm.
How well they can get along tells on the nice people they are.

    I wish them the best.

I too am glad to hear this update. I miss County's posts around here, and I have occasionally (usually when a new slaughter thread pops up ) wondered what happened to the horses he was so proud of. Glad to hear those who loved him are keeping things going.

I think County would approve of the arrangment

I hope the two can hold things together and each end up the better for it.

    Seriously...how cool is that?

I'm tempted to send this link to some of the folks who think I'm nuts for staying friends with the majority of my ex BF's.
