    Default Incomplete Coggins?

I just received a letter from Virginia saying that they need another copy of my 2008 Coggins from a show I went to in early 2009. I am assuming that the copy was complete enough for us to read the name/date, but not complete enough for the State?

Has anyone ever had this happen?

Why do they take so long to let you know - this is 2 Coggins back from the one my horse is currently on, so I may have to do some major digging to find a copy.

They should have their own copy ~ maybe not YOUR problem after all.

They're also not necessarily done at the state lab. Here, Idexx (reference lab) is much cheaper than the state lab.

Perhaps the horse's markings did not come through clearly on the submitted copy, and they want to verify whether it is correct.

It doesn't apply to this situation, but, at least in MD, the state lab gets a copy of all Coggins that are done in the state regardless of which lab ran them.
