If I remember right... the roads out to kamloops have the deicers under the roadway. So once they have a chance to get everything cleared they may reopen the roads. I hope that everything works out soon, and here are jingles from Texas! http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...icon_smile.gif

I'm on pins and needles waiting for this horse to get home! I've been following the saga from the start, and just want to say that everyone involved (except the thief, of course) is going to heaven. http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...milies/yes.gif

Hey knike! I am so glad you found the BB, you'll soon be addicted like the rest of us! Just a quick update for all the followers:
Calvin has a ride down to Dinah-do's this week with a commercial hauler (brave fellah-weather may be better, may not, but they feel very confident). I will get the paper work and hustle up I-5 and pick him up. I have stalls on order for my new place, the fencing is going in as we can find time (I am so tired of pounding posts), and the digital camera is ready to go.
I have contacted the publisher of Flying Changes and we are working on an article for a future issue about this great adventure. ( I always wanted to be an author, hee hee). She has an on-line version, too, so I let everyone know when it is published. I will get photos of my little buddy-bean when I get to BC. Thanks so much for all the good wishes, they've certainly made the journey easier.

I've missed the origina thread of this story...Is it still up? How to find it?
From what I';ve read though it seems a miracle happened if you found your horse that might have been stolen. Good Luck on the final leg of his journey and will be looking for the ending of the story.

Please oh please tell us he'll be home for Thanksgiving????????
Birdsong, the original post started somewhere around the beginning of October. Make yourself a cup of tea and read it thru. It is incredible. Now the poor guy is in a snowstorm! Talk about testing the mettle of Calvincrowe!

I've been lurking through all CC's troubles. I always wished there was something I could do to help (like all of us!). What an inspiring story. I can't wait to get to the "They lived happily ever after." part http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...milies/yes.gif
I'll be away from the BB till Sunday, and just wanted to send all my best wishes to CC as she travels to get her boy! I hope everything goes well for ya'll. Please tell everyone who's helped how much we think of them - heroes all!
Y'all ain't right!

Well Dinah-do just emailed me and Calvin arrived in Aldergrove (right across the border from WA) after an all night drive from Clearwater. He is eating well and seems fine. I am now trying to find out what box was checked on the health certificate, so I know if I have to have the vet see him (permanent export) or no (temporary visit). Since he is mine, I am hoping they (the good folks who were there for his vet appointment) made sure it was a travel permit type. If I have to see the vet, then I won't be able to get him before TG, because the vet is only available business hours. Hopefully, it will be simple and I can get him this weekend! My barn is not ready, but my sister-in-law will welcome him back. I have his beet pulp bucket ready, his Rambo out of storage, and the welcoming party in place. Keep up the karmic flow!
