Well folks, here we go again. Maybe Mr. Applesauce and I are gluttons for punishment but we are trying again. We now have in our custody (temporary of course) a beautiful 3 month baby boy. We are calling him Cory short for his real name. He has blue eyes and has a skin condidtion from neglect thus how he came into the care of Social Services. But it's curable and nothing a little love won't take care of.

So here we go again. Since we still get to keep Nikki Leigh from time to time we will tell her that Corey is her little "cousin" and that when they grow up they are just going to have to SHARE the pony. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c.../icon_wink.gif

Wish us luck and jingles, I'll keep you posted as things progress. We just got him today. Just a little background info...he has 5 other brothers and sisters that had to be removed on an emergency basis because of abuse and neglect. They have found foster homes for the other kids so they are in good shape now too.

Wow, Applesauce, good for you! I missed the WHOLE story with Nikki, so keep us posted on this one.

People like you are amazing. http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...s/sadsmile.gif and if not for people willing to open their hearts and homes, the world would be a much, much worse place. (Can you imagine?! Ew.)

You are truly a good person.

Wonderful!!! I'd just be careful about causing sibling rivalry with the sharing thepony remark. Reminds me of a similar recent post where a child tore the head off of her Barbie to keep from sharing the Barbie toy horse.

Thank you for the well wishes and jingles. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...icon_smile.gif I'll try to post pics soon. Let me tell you, this poor child has lived a full life already and BOY does he have a set of lungs on him! *phew* He's sleeping now, thank goodness. He has the biggest broadest smile that lights up his whole face! Poor little man...he's coverd in the worst diaper rash imaginable, was in a urine soaked car seat...I mean SOAKED and his bed was urine soaked. It's no wonder he has such a bad rash. He goes to the doctor tomorrow for a check up.

I have two appts tomorrow to go see some horses for sale so Mr. A will be playing Mr. Mom while I'm gone. As long as Cory is fed, he's a happy baby. I'll try to get pics posted tomorrow night.

Im sure in a few days Corey's shiney hiney will start to heal and you will hear those lungs less and less. Creamy Desitine is a good thing! http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...icon_smile.gif
