Question great boarding facility in NoVa with a great trainer

I am looking for a great boarding facility with an indoor, with a great trainer for hunters in the NoVa area. I have the names of several places but would like some input from those who have experience. Lincoln Horse Center with Jon Sonkin, Aldie Equestrian Center with Lindsay Foxx, Stone Gate, Stoney Ridge with Jane Nordstrom, Forecast Farms with Denise Finch. Any input good or bad would be appreciated. Looking to do local and maybe a rated show or 2. Feel free to PM. thanks!!

Seriously, just go to Peter Foley. I swear, he's about the only person in the NOVA area that I've never heard anyone say anything bad about.

Actually, I'm only halfway joking. There was a thread recently about Jane Nordstrom as well, with positive things said: http://www.chronofhorse.com/forum//s...errerid=111340

I think Jon Sonkin is a wonderful, thoughtful trainer. I had my stallion with him for O/F training and event evaluation for a few weeks and when my boy is happy I am happy.

Lindsay Fox is a very nice woman who was an agent for a buyer for one of our ponies. Other than that I've seen her at a few shows but that's it.

    As for Golden Geldings..

I am just saying . This board gets very STICKY with name dropping and Farm judgement.
There is another topic on this just last month .

Have you tried to do a search for it ? Lots of discussion about the choices around here.
Just do not want to miss any of the " High End Farms" by stating opinions .
    Good Luck ..

If you must have an indoor go to Jane. I've known her for more than 1/2 my life...she's a wonderful horse person.

If you can live without an indoor and want the BEST in the business, Peter and Dale at Woodhall.

    Mroades,

I've heard very good things about Terri but don't know her personally...someone else may chime in.

Stonegate is nice looking. One of my acquaintances boards there if I remember correctly.

A friend lessons with Terri Young and adores her. She's done wonders for my friend's confidence.

I rode with Terri for about a year and a half when I lived in VA. I absolutely loved my time there and if I still lived in VA, I would still be boarding at her facility.

As far as H/J barns go, her place is extremely low drama and there is a nice mix of junior and amateur riders. She does a bunch of the VHSA associates shows, but also rated stuff (HITS, Upperville, Warrenton, Lexington, etc.). She really works with her clientele in terms of what their goals and financial means will allow.

As an aside, last year she was the winner of "win a week with the Maddens" and spent a week with Frank Madden.
