    Default New gait: wallop?

studies show that the fast pace of an elephant is actually and 'run' and a walk at the same time

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/8508796.stm

since a 'run' is a gallop : elephants "wallop"

    ever seen your horse wallop?

The reports states, “Elizabeth reported that she accidently put down this pony, ........, at the show.”

I have seen some "natural shod" TWH that do that elephant "wallow".

I think it is a kind of uneven pace.

My old gelding Jesse (1975-2006) used to wallop. Well, since he wasn't a real gallopin' kind of guy, I guess it was really a wanter.

It meant "I am feeling silly and energetic and would really REALLY like to canter, so I am just barely heeding your demand that I continue walking."

Did you know that if you say the word "GULLIBLE" really softly, it sounds like "ORANGES"?

My horse does the "Wallet". In which he consumes money without moving a muscle.

LOL. Mine too, and he does it all at the slow walk-like pace since he is injured :P

I have known many, many lazy equines who can't even get up to a wallop - they only tranter!
