He requires joint maintenance and should be kept in some kind of light work year round. Current owner is no longer riding this horse. He has been out of consistent work since last spring. He had some farrier related problems last summer, but is ready to start back into work. Owner purchased a replacement horse who almost immediately fractured his hock and is on stall rest for 4 months or so along with her other retired event horse who is coming back from re-injuring his collateral ligament. Dance prefers to be kept out in a field with a run in shelter. He does not particularly enjoy being in. He is not a good trail horse although he does like an occasional walkabout. He is perfect for someone who rides and wants to learn dressage and is not in a hurry to move up the levels. He does lateral work and when fit is quite a nice horse. Dance requires periodic joint injections and is on supplements. He is also used to having regular annual chiropractic adjustments. He is up to date on vaccines and will need his teeth done in the spring. He is a jokester and can be a total lovebug. He also has his quirks and absolutely HATES getting wet. He will require a waterproof turn out sheet for when it rains. He does not crib and is not a hard keeper. I will require and check references.
In the heart of the Bluegrass state, Kentucky! Where chiggers and turkey mites abound.
What a nice horse! I wish I knew someone looking, I would send them your way. I just picked up a gem of a three year old, or I would be seriously looking at this horse. Good luck and keep us posted, you never know.....
