EXPERIENCED EVENTER: Tiger is a 15.2hh 1992 Appaloosa/Thoroughbred cross mare. She competed at Training level in eventing with former owner and was schooling Prelim in clinics. I did some Novice in MeCTA events with her back in 2005 and took her to some clinics, but life has kind of gotten in the way. She had a foal in 2007 and has been carting kids around in walk/trot classes for the past couple of years. She does flying lead changes and has a gorgeous extended trot and is very "point and shoot" over jumps. She has competed at several events, including Snowfields, and has always placed and was never eliminated in several years of eventing. Has also done some dressage and hunter classes.
EXPERIENCED FIELD HUNTER: Spicie is a 15.1hh 1988 Appaloosa mare. She has competed in a little bit of everything over the years; ApHC shows, barrel racing, field hunters, lots of local shows. Spicie also did some reining work previously and does flying lead changes like no other horse I've ever ridden. She competed at 3'6" in field hunters with her previous owner and was reportedly schooling 4' fences. I have schooled her 3'6" at home and had planned to event her. She likes to have a rider with her, guiding her every step of the way. She has spent the last few years doing local shows with young teens in w/t, w/t/c, and cross rail classes. She is very forward so will need a confident rider with some experience.
EXCELLENT TRAIL/PLEASURE HORSE: Sharade is a 16.3hh 1990 Standardbred mare. She has competed locally in w/t classes with children and adults and has been to lessons/clinics taught by Babette Lenna. Very smart and willing to please. She does need finishing work on her canter and leads. Has done some cross rails and small fences. EXCELLENT on trails; road safe, crosses bridges, water, dog safe, safe with other horses, will jump ditches and logs. Took her up to Acadia National Park in July 2009 and she was perfect with walkers, bikers, dogs, horse and carriages, and trail maintenance crews around. She also drives. Does gait under saddle if asked. Can compete at the National Standardbred Show in NJ this fall. I had also hoped to event her, but have not had time to finish her canter work.
