A funny racename - Waikikamiukau. Why-kick-a-moo-cow! Maybe I changed the sp a bit, but I love this name!

Ok, this one is funny because of the rider.. Peter Pletcher had a horse for a while that had a heart brand, and they called it Heart On (think PP), and he had another one called http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...n_rolleyes.gif Lickalottapuss.

John Anderson's farm in Alberta(?) is called Tyrell.

I get an ironic snicker everytime I see that because it is close to the name of a low cost dog food that use to be produced here ( tyrells).

    bad association.

I showed an arab/appy mare with the show name Itchy. She loved to be scratched so it was decided to call her Itchy (her real name was Duchess). My thoroughbred's show name is Farscape. It is from the scifi show called Farscape. His stable name is Talyn which comes from a character on the show.

I used to show a pony named "Buck Naked". I didn't know that was his name and I went into the ring and the announcer said, "This is #121, Devin E. riding Buck Naked." There went that course! http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...on_biggrin.gif
