Default shipping from Ontario to KY

    Hi guys,

Are there shippers who routinely ship this route? If so, can I get a few names/references. I'm having a very hard time finding a shipper.

    TIA!

We shipped from Ontario to Florida and couldn't be happier with the service through International Horse Transport.

Yes!!! Quinn is right. They did a great job and the horse arrived 24 hours after she was picked up in Ontario. She had been given her Gastro-guard as requested and was in wonderful shape (hydrated and not stressed at all) when I picked her up in Ocala.

I've used Perry Transport from Ontario to Virginia in the past, and despite getting stuck in NY in a blizzard, the mare arrived in great shape. Good communication.

Smaller shippers would be good too. I just looked at the rigs of the recommended and they can't fit into the destination farm entrance.

Castleview is decent company. They are in the Hamilton, ON area, but I cannot find a 'Roseland' on the map of Ontario so don't know if that would feasible for them. It's not 'Roslin' by any chance? Anyways, with lots of horses starting to make their way back north for the upcoming race season, I would think finding a ride down with a Canadian company should be fairly easy.

    This is Castleview's # 905-304-5321

Castleview (Ward Black) was fabulous, but Ward has gone back to school and is no longer doing the trailering

Many times the big rigs cant fit into the origin or destination points and we simply load or offload on the road and it works just fine

I use Mary Mykytyn as often as I can. Horses arrive better than they left! She goes all over NA, and is from Ontario. PM for her # if you would like it.

Unfortunately this isn't doable either due to farm location.

Because I'm often on military installations that make the big rigs tough, I usually have my horses shipped to a local farm that can handle it, then move them to my barn after a short rest. Lots of big farms will do short layovers for a really reasonable price.

Sorry guys, the horse is in Roslin.
There are layover stations in KY but the issue is the $150 taxi fee to go literally 5 miles down the road from the station to the farm. So am trying to find a smaller rig than a semi. If I can't then I'll have to make it work.

    Question

What part of KY is she going to? I need a horse shipped from Ottawa to NC/VA boarder. Ottawa is only 3hrs North of Roslin.
If your destination is closer to the East side of KY maybe we could ride-share

I have also used her in the past and she lives only a few miles from me....so if we can get her to maybe grab my mare then pick up yours in Roslin she can do a NC drop off then continue on to KY with yours? Just throwin' ideas out there

She picked up a colt here and was very nice to deal with.
