    Default Another matchmaker thread

Who would you recommend for my mare to produce a hunter foal? I would like to add size (she is 16.1 and quite feminine), keep her typey head and add a little length to her neck. I also would like to improve her topline some. She is a Cor de la Bryere grandaughter so the jump is there. TB on the bottom. I like hunter sires with a jumping pedigree. I am thinking Cunningham, Hennessey, Chaleon (although probably wouldn't increase the size). Any thoughts?

As long as the Corde blood doesn't come by way of Calypso II, I'd put her to Cunningham without a second thought

I don't know if you want a proven sire or not, but thought I'd suggest Amazing. He is standing for the first time this year, and has some of the best European jumper blood you can find in a Hunter package. He is by Balou du Rouet out of a Voltaire mare. He has a ton of jump receiving a nine at his inspection for freejumping, but has beautiful Hunter movement and style-he won his first hack class he ever entered last fall. He has a gorgeous head and topline...he has the most irresistable "pony" face . He has a nice short, strong back and lovely neck set. On top of all that his temperament is an 11. He is very laid back, sweet and sensible. If you want more information, there are pictures and videos on the website. Good luck in your search-your mare is lovely!

registry isn't that important. The mare is Holsteiner registered but I rather doubt she would do well at an inspection with AHHA as she is very much a hunter type. Her gaits are flat and she has alot of TB characteristics such as her lower set neck and smaller self. I will check out amazing! Thanks!

Thanks Fish, damsire is Is it true by Raja Baba. Dam's dam is Rising Ruffina by Rising Market. I'm not to familiar with these lines myself. Filly is superb temperment though. Super smart. Romantic Starr.......like him!

Romantic Star would be really nice. What a beautiful baby that would be.

    I like Cunningham also.

Who is she by? She has a lot of similarities to my Corde granddaughter.
