I haven't been to A shows in awhile and was at one recently and was kind of schocked to see so many colorful show shirts. (I see some flaming coming for this)But I thought it looked very un-professional and very casual.
Orange Tack.....blech. Especially on a dark horse, it makes it look like you're sitting on a pumkin.
I also don't like those baby blue eskadrons & matching baby blue ears & saddle pads. Fine for a pony (with kid riding) but not on a horse.
And, I think that little kids wearing tall boots is just pretentios.
OK, flame suit now on. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...on_biggrin.gif

Have to agree with the low rise breeches. Although, if the person is short torsoed and the low rises fit them normally, then fine. But seeing someone ride by a la Brittney Spears is nauseating.
Tall boots on little tykes. Blech!
Colored pads, another blech.
Sparkly hoof polish is a no-go for me, unless you're in a parade or something.
Still trying to get used to seeing so many color combos in riding apparel. Puke green breeches with a tan jacket with a peach or purple shirt just looks too crazy for me. But then again, I DID wear rust breeches back in the day, LOL!

I hate pony tails coming out of helmets!!! Maggie Jayne's trend w/ the GPA/pony tail tied w/ a ribbon is UGLY.

Have you noticed that she's wearing it up in her helmet these days? It looks so much better!
Speaking of GPA's though, I've gotten used to the stripes, but I HATE the rhinestone tatoos and stickers on them!

( iron... ) had to wear it anyways... then dyed her jods blueish in the wash... her mother tried to fix the problem herself by dying them darker with the UGLIEST rust colour you have ever seen before in your life.... five foot 5 in short boots and straps...poor kid...

OMG JRG are you from NH? Because that happened at my old barn one time too, the poor girl. They were this awful muddy rusty color, and she was also a taller kid who just didn't show often so didn't have tall boots yet. Felt bad but had to laugh to myself a little bit because they looked so hideous. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...s/icon_eek.gif
Pet peeves of mine...
I hate seeing little short stirrup/small pony kids with GPA's, Tailord Sportsman's (with or without tall boots), and Grand Prix jackets. That's almost $1000 worth of clothes on a 5-year-old. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...n_rolleyes.gif
I also hate it when people wear their huntcoats with their collar unbuttoned. I think that is so tacky.

I'm a major fan of some fairly iffy stuff (ask BaileyBFF about my neon green show shirt collection) but superdark shirts with light jackets... not my thing. I was at a QH show and this girl was wearing a really dark bloodred shirt, with a really light coat. It looked horrible. Ick.
i dont like the rust pants or the very light jackets, they are just not very flattering. The gpa's i dont mind simply because of the rules, but thank god i dont have to wear one. Colored eskadrons are icky, but my bigggest pet peve is children not only in custom boots that are nicer than mine, but alo in $3,200 custom saddles. It is as if the parents feel that a very expensive saddle will make their kid ride better and it just wont.
