What are YOU eating?
As I sit here, looking through the COTH forum, I am eating a fresh-out-of-the-oven-from-a-box-brownie. Oh yeah, glass of milk, too!
I was wondering, what is your fave snack as you dig through COTH?

this time of year, clementines!
Edamame is another on the top of my list.
I've also been known to find a really juicy train wreck, open a bottle of wine and break off a good hunk of dark chocolate.

To get this back on the horse track, does anyone eat horse treats? Mrs. Pastures sure smell good but I've never tried them.

Coffee. Might as well be eating it considering the amount of cream and sugar I use.
On the horse treat tangent, yes, when hungry. My horses like generic Milk Bones without animal products -- so basically crackers. I've been known to eat a handful as well when stuck at the barn with no other food. Not bad at all.

When I was a kid we used to eat the treats that looked like big fruit loops. The orange were carrot, and red were apple. That's been at least 30-35 years ago. I haven't seen them for years. They weren't bad though.

Try some steel cut oats... YUM!
1/2 cup steel cut oats
1 cup water
1 cup milk
1/2 tbl butter
1 1/2 tbl brown sugar
pinch of salt
Bring water milk and salt to a boil, slowly stir in oats, cover and simmer for 15 minutes stirring occasionally.
Add butter and brown sugar and simmer another 10-15 minutes, covered. These are so creamy and good....
And the steel cut oats are so much better for you than the quaker oats and I find that you stay fuller because they take longer to digest.
My horse loves them too - so they're a treat to share!
