I'm not sure what you mean for "BNT" in the dressage world, riders who have brought along horses through the levels or who show at the FEI levels, or both? I'll limit my input to those, and the ones I've ridden with personally.
I've ridden with JJ Tate, Scott Hassler and Lauren Sprieser (dressagediosa here) and have found them all very similar in approach/style/use of training scale and kindness to the horse and rider, while getting improvement from both.
I've been riding with Lauren for the past 18 months or so and have seen improvements in my scores, and riding, and always have great fun...and having fun is important to me.
Another vote for Scott, LOVE riding with Scott, wish I could do more of it!! He has great insight and can explain things in a way that I can actually do what he says (have had previous trainers that couldn't explain things so I could "get it").
JJ Tate is the way to go if you want a horse confirmed at Grand Prix in a firm, but kind, consistent manner. She is expert at working with youngsters, but has the FEI background to take a horse all the way to GP as she has done that several times in her career. Sorry...shameless plug for this wonderful trainer, but I just think she is the best!
My vote is another plug for the Hasslers, either Scott or Susanne. Both have a ton of experience at all levels and are fantastic people. Then again, everyone at Hassler Dressage is extremely talented, kind, and inspiring.
