Default Quarter sheet search -- why can't I find this?

I am looking for a quarter sheet that goes under the saddle flap and velcros at the withers in front of the saddle. I would Prefer something other than fleece but at this point I would consider anything. I know these exist somewhere! All the ones that have seen in catalogs and online that velcro in front can go around the rider but the cut out is not large enough to actually go around the saddle (under the flaps) as well. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
    Thank you!

Dover has them. I have one. It's fleece though. I'm not sure of any other material than nylon with light fleece lining.

It's fleece, but the Rambo Newmarket quarter sheets fit under the saddle flaps. I have 3 of them. I think they come in 4 sizes, so you are pretty much guaranteed to find one that fits.

ETA -- I also have a Dover waterproof quarter sheet that fits under the saddle flaps. I bought it about 7 years ago, though. I think they still make something similar.

I think both Dover and Schneider's carry a quarter sheet that's made of the Thermatex-style material.

I just snagged a Rambo Newmarket fleece one off my local Craigslist ... brand new and cheap! Definitely far and away a better product than the Weatherbeeta one I had been using.

Masta makes one. As does Weatherbeeta, I think. Mine is by Masta, and is waterproof on the outside and fleece lined on the inside. There is a cutout for the rider, but it's large enought that it can go under the flaps. There are even girth straps .

I have a Bucas like you describe. It might be this one:

but mine has a reflective strip around the back portion and it definately has a velcro closure....not "hook and loop".

    I love it.

Saratoga Horseworks makes one like that in wool that is very nice and not too expensive.

    Thanks for all the replies!

When you say dover has one ... are you refering to the Riders or the Rambo one?

I didn't realize the Rambo newmarket went under the saddle flaps. That could be a possiblity. I was really hoping for wool though.

From the photo it doesn't look there is any way that the Rider's fits under the flaps and around the front of the saddle. I guess I should mention I ride a dressage saddle.

The Saratoga wool one is the one I wanted and ordered ... the opening is at least 3-4 inches short of fitting around the saddle! I was really disappointed.

I have two of the Dover's Riders ones -- both the thermo management material, not fleece. They fit around the saddle and under the flaps no problem.

If you're willing to consider a thermo manager type material, Schneider's has one that fits your description:

I don't own that exact product, but I own a cooler made of the same material. I really like it.

I bought a wool one from Smartpak which I really like but it is square cut so my leg was on top of the quarter sheet and not on my horse. I ripped the stitching off part of the binding, cut the wool to wear I wanted it (I followed the design of my trainer's Rambo fleece one) and had a friend who sews sew the binding back on. Now it's perfect.

ETA-it fits around by saddle and my saddle is a 17 1/2.

    I had the same problem!!!!

I bought the Rambo newmarket quartersheet. The cutout is big enough for my saddle and the fleece is doubled up so it's heavy and the wind doesn't take it. It also has a cut-out for your leg.

I think this is it. It velcros in front and can go over your leg.

    Default Here are some options

I have 2 of the Lami-cell quarter sheets. they are big enough to put under the saddle and are of a nylon type material on the outside and polar fleece on the inside. I know that Dover now has a ntlon covered one as well that fits under the saddle. I know this is like 2 years late, but if you see it you may still be interested.

Skymark Custom Tack (Beamsville, ON) made me a beautiful navy wool one, custom for my 16.3 gelding, with pink braid, tail cord and my initials embroidered on it - total cost, $80. It velcros neatly in front of the pommel, and goes easily under the flaps. You can see pics of it if you friend her on FB. Don't know about shipping costs, but she does EXCELLENT work.
