    Default Mine that Bird

So what are the plans for him now? I havnt heard anything about him other than him being 3rd in the WV Derby and finishing off the pace at Santa Anita in his most recent start. I think he is one of my most favorite racehorses of all time. the little 15h plain bay can come to me at anytime if he needs a new career as a hunter I think he is just a stunning looking horse. Anyone know what the gameplan is for him in the near future?

I don't think they've announced anything but he'll be racing barring injury. Isn't he 15.2?

Having seen him close up I'd have to say 15.2 is being generous by an inch or so.

Perhaps not from a height standpoint, but he managed to make quite an impression crossing the finish line on Derby day. You can't deny the little fella that.

Farmgirl, you're gonna have to fight me for the little Birdie when he retires. Definitely my favorite race horse of recent years! I loved the stall cam and kept it running almost 24/7!

I'll wager he's taller than the late great Northern Dancer...he was certainly fine with it although 'accommodations' were needed for his breeding activities.

I believe he is 15hh-15.1hh. My gelding by gulch and out of a storm bird mare is about this height. he's not very big, but from comparing pictures, my guy and Bird look very much alike, especially in their heads but Bird is bay and my guy is a liver chest.

Id love to put Bird in my barn anyday. being a little under 5'2" i'd fit on him just fine!!!

We can share. I'm almost 6', so you can ride him; I'll teach him carriage driving!
