    Default Did anyone else notice...

that in the "virginia country properties" ad at the top of the page, the horse's hind boots are on backwards?

Maybe it's just my screen but I can't tell a thing other than the horse just has hind boots on.

Dangit! I'll never be able to see the ad again, just the backwards boots!

Actually I saw that too, and then looked closer and I *think* the hind legs may blend together enough to make it look like the hind legs are on opposite sides than what they really are.

lol. I was pointing out something similar in a Ralph Lauren ad to a non-horsie friend the other day.

She noted that surely *someone* involved with the horse in the ad should know how to put a basic piece of tack on, right? The person who trailered the horse to the shoot? The owner of the horse? The person handling the horse at a shoot? Boots and a bridle are pretty hard to get wrong for someone with basic skills.

They are using a photo of me and a sales horse for a new quine type complex. The fun part is that While I was dressed to show that day the horse was just being introduced and was never supposed to go into the ring, he literally had just retired from racing the day before. They just asked me to get on and show him to some people there. The photographer took a few pictures though and they ended up using it for advertising. No noseband, nylon racing bridle, yoke and a poofy green saddlepad.
