Today it's been The New Year by Death Cab for Cutie. Which is a great song!

I tend to get really really BAD songs stuck in my head when I run......Britney Spears anyone?

She's on the radio here AND on my daughter's boom box. I've OD'd on Lady Gag long ago.

Not to hijack but I really think she's a man.

    She is a man!

I am hoping she ages like RuPaul rather than Boy George

Is she? Did she come out and say that she was? I have seen what some claim is photographic evidence, but I still wasn't sure.

I have the cure for songs you can't get out of your head, and it is Neil Young's Cinnamon Girl. Seriously. There's something about that song that doesn't stick with you, and it wipes the slate clean.

I discovered this in 1999, and for the last ten years I've sung Cinnamon Girl to myself in my head whenever I've had an earworm that needs evicting. It truly works.

I keep getting the Charles in Charge theme song in my head. Haven't watched that show since it was on TV, so not sure why my mind KEEPS ON thinking of it. It's a testament to the writers of it, I guess.

Hakuna Matata. It wouldn't go away, so I just gave up and made it my ringtone. I guess it's a testimate to my state of mind.

My wife will randomly sing the refrain "more, more, more how do you like it" from the 1976 song of the same name ("More, More, More") by the Andrea True Connection which was used liberally in the series Sex in the City.

Hard to shake that melody once its in your head ...

Bohemian Rhapsody was an earwig I had recently, but that song has so many different parts that it really wasn't a nuisance or bother.

I have to be careful (so of course, I'm not on purpose sometimes!) because any discussion of fish makes my office mate get Fish Heads as an earwig --- and then she gets mad at me!

The theme song from True Blood. I've been watching re-runs on HBO this week.

I caught a rerun of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers on recently and watched a bit while I was eating. Ever since then, I've had the song about the Romans and the Sabine women stuck! The one where the head brother is trying to use the example of history to tell his six younger brothers how to get their girls (go crashing into town, kidnap them, and carry them off, just like Plutarch wrote about). Cute song, but it's starting to wear thin.

My get-rid-of-it song is the Washington Post March, but I'm not down to using it yet.
