Thumbs up So I picked my Christmas present to myself today...

All 15.3 of her! She's a yearling TB by a Judge TC son. Dark bay with a blaze, and 2 white feet. And what a brain!! I had originally gone with a boarder who was interested, but when she decided to pass, I jumped on it! She's going to be rather tall, the sire is 17.2, and when we did the string test on her, it was 17+ inches. Eek! Good thing I'm tall! She's got a bit of rain rot from living out (which cajunbelle can hardly wait to go pick at - sick woman!) And needs her feet done, but as soon as we get her cleaned up a bit, I'll post some pictures! Merry Christmas to me!!! Lol.

Love, Love, Love this filly, she is the biggest baby I have ever seen. I have to admit.... she's going to be a WOW, I'm more than... a little jealous.

Merry Christmas & Congrats on your new critter!

    Congrats on your new filly.

I think there's nothing better than a TB for a hunter or jumper. I hate seeing all the "warmbloods" out there - Not to mention there is now no after-market for OTTB's like there used to be. Some of the beauty left when the TBs lost favor with the HJ crowd.

    TB's have more heart too!

Well, cajunbelle and I dragged the filly in this afternoon and started working on her, to get her all beautified. Rainrot, some little scrapes and dings, a cut on a hind leg, nothing major, all a long way from her heart, but still make her far from picture-worthy! But we're getting there! And this little filly stood perfectly still while i clipped around her boo-boo, picked all of her feet up nicely, stood quietly on the crossties....... I think I'm in love! LOL!! And cajunbelle is right behind me on that one! What a nice brain!!! And we measured her, she's 15.3 exactly. With REALLY open knees. She's going to be big!
