Default Help Equines In Need - Matching Gift Fundraiser - Brennan Equine Welfare Fund

Brennan Equine Welfare Fund (BEWF) is my fund-raising 501(c)(3) charity that benefits equines in need. I am personally matching all donations through December 31, 2009. That means twice the help for equines in need!!

All funds go directly to help needy horses through grants to carefully scrutinized 501(c)(3) organizations that specialize in retirement/rehabilitation/retirement rescue shelters across the country.

Your donation is tax deductibe! What a great holiday gift for someone...a donation in their honor! Or, a great year-end donation!

I hope you can find it in your hearts to help, even if it is just a little. Every little bit helps, and with my matching your donation, it adds up to do some real good for some very needy horses. You can see how BEWF helps horses by visiting the "Your Generosity Shows" page on the website.

For more information and how to donate, please visit the website at: http://www.brennanequinewelfarefund.com/index.html

or read a recent news article:http://communitypress.cincinnati.com...-second-chance

Thanks! And, feel free to contact me with any questions!

    Just bumping along....

Why Donate to Brennan Equine Welfare Fund?

-Your donation is fully tax-deductible! Brennan Equine Welfare Fund (BEWF) is a 501(c)(3) set up through the Greater Cincinnati Foundation's 501(c)(3), so any gift you make will be acknowledged by The Foundation with a confirmation for your taxes (except for those donations paid online through Network For Good, will provide its own documentation.)

    -And, don't forget...your donations will be matched dollar-to-dollar through December 31, 2009

-You can be assured that all funds go directly to the horses! This can include funds for feed, veterinarian and farrier expenses, farm maintenance, fencing, medical supplies (wormers, first-aid) and many other expenses.

-Strict qualifying criteria is set up for rescue/rehabilitaiton/retirement facilities that request and receive grants from Brennan Equine Welfare Fund. This assures that the best interest and welfare of the benefiting horses are the top priority and that they will be provided for with dignity until the end of their natural lives, with no chance of any further neglect, abuse, abandonment or chance of being sent to slaughter.

-Linda Pavey, Donor/Account Advisor and Founder of Brennan Equine Welfare Fund, frequently visits the facilities that have applied for or received grants from BEWF. This assures that all grants are going to organizations which meet the strict criteria of the best interest of the horses, and allows the benefits from past grants to be seen in person.

A great gift in memory or honor of someone special or that special horse.

    Your donation has THREE benefits!!!

    1. It helps equines in need through grant funding.

    2. Your donation will be matched ! Hurry...this ends December 31!

    3. You get a tax deduction because BEWF is a 501(c)(3).

Please, won't you consider donating, even a little bit? Even a small gift, given by many donors, can have a huge impact in helping horses that really need rescuing, hay, medical treatment and farriery work.

Your mailed donation must be postmarked by Dec 31. Or, your online donation made before the end of the day December 31.

    By check or phone:

Please make checks payable to "The Greater Cincinnati Foundation", and be sure to write
"Brennan Equine Welfare Fund" on the memo line.

    Mail to:
    The Greater Cincinnati Foundation
    P.O. Box 5200
    Cincinnati, Ohio 45201-5200

To contact The Greater Cincinnati Foundation and donate over the phone using your credit card,
    please call (513) 241-2880

Yep, the tickets are bought and the travel plans include Lebanon. Give or take some dental work, I may call and say hi.

Just an update...almost $9,000 in individual donations came in during the Nov-Dec matching gift fundraiser....so matching that yielded nearly $18,000 for equines in need! Thank you all so much!

The grant request submittal period is underway, so after review and considerations, your donations will be used to provide grants to outstanding equine facilities that fit the Brennan Equine Welfare Fund criteria. Please stay tuned and also follow on the website and Facebook!

Thank again! Your support is very much appreciated!

Bump - rescues, man your pens and 'puters!

Follow up note: I made it to Cincy, and called the Tack Trunk. Their stock of Wintecs is way low now but they can at least look at Pepo's wither tracings and let me size my butt in a few saddles, and see if ordering will be fast enough. I will be mentionning that BEW referred me to them.

Glad you made it up. Are you still here? (if so, today weather should be a shock to you!) The Tack Trunk has lots of saddles you can sit in to try out, even though they may not have the exact one for you/your horse. Best selection in the area. Not sure who you talked to up there, but Katie is awesome and lots of help. Thanks for mentioning Brennan Equine Welfare Fund!
