    Default Not Available - NC - 13 y/o ArabX Gelding - Sound - Ride & Drive

    Location: North Carolina

Specifics: 13 y/o, 15H (or there abouts) Arab cross gelding. Registered. Do not let the breed bother you. Sound. Current on immunizations/coggins. Well mannered. No vices. Quiet temperment.,

Details: Has been a carriage driving horse but in the past 4 years has been primarily a riding horse. Bought him for my youngest daughter when she was just walking/trotting. Always took very good care of her. He does canter under saddle but he gets a little strung out and a little fast. Works well on a longe line. Very affectionate. Wants daily attention. Loves to be groomed. He has been shown and always gets placed, usually 1st or 2nd place. Does not jump and will go out of his way not to step in a puddle. Happiest hacking around the fields. Traffic safe. Will do arena work but not every day/every ride. Typical of his breed he is a little shorter backed so have to be careful with saddle fit.

He tends to be claustrophobic so does not do well stalled over night at a show. At home he's fine but he's in a stall with very large window and open front. He has done well with a run-in.

Very safe for children under saddle. No spook. On the ground he can invade your space a little but he's easily corrected. Overall a very nice horse who needs a home where he will be the apple of someone's eye and get regular attention.

He also knows halter, sport horse in hand, and can be ridden western if you find the correct saddle. He has done primarily hunter under saddle and dressage type riding.

Pictures available via email. Bay. Very handsome.

He is being offered as a free longterm lease with possibility of ownership. References will be required and checked. I will be extremely picky. He deserves the absolute best.

Very easy keeper. Must have pasture and at least one companion horse. Has been exposed to electric fencing.

Please email me with your details. Open to any location but those closest to NC will get priority.
