Default How far are you going for the holiday?

I'm driving about 2 hours to the family homestead tonight, once I get packed and motivated.

    How far for everybody else?

Luckily I am going about 10 houses up the street to my moms. We live at opposite ends of a double sided court, very convenient for get togethers!

About 20 minutes to my mother's house. Not a bad drive at all, and I'm really glad I won't have to see my in-laws this year

60 miles. I cook dinner and then bring it to my mother so she can enjoy the bounty!

Ten minutes up the road to our friends' house. Can't beat it.

Nowhere! This is where I get screwed for going to school like 3,000 miles away from home and in another country. I will be in class when I shoudl be watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade! Having Thanksgiving in early October has also complicated things the past few years since my mind is programmed to get into the Christmas mood once Thanksgiving arrives. This was never a problem when it was about a month from Christmas. Now that they are about 2.5 months apart this creates a problem. My mind says "It's Christmas time!" when everyone else is just getting ready for Halloween. It's torture!
