I have a friend who has a wonderful farm and is looking to give a good forever home to a gentle, sound, safe horse that would be used just as a companion for her gelding, and for walk-trot trail rides. Mares won't work, as her gelding mounts mares......She can provide great references, her friend, a vet, boards with her, which speaks for her care. She has the best farrier in the area, beds knee deep in shavings, lots of turnout, best of hay/grain/etc. She would love to find a horse that won't pick fights with her gelding, and is safe enough to put hubby on for his occasional trail rides. She already has two geriatrics, as well, so would prefer something younger, as she gets so emotionally attached. Draft cross or warmblood would be perfect, but a sane, quiet, sound TB gelding would also be considered. Located in Western NY, south of Buffalo, trying to stay in the vicinity as she would like to see and try the horse first. Please let me know what you have that might work for her....Farm visit, references given gladly.
