Secret Santa for Horse Rescues: ASSIGNMENTS SENT!
ATTENTION ELVES!!!
We've assigned groups but procrastinators are still welcome - hope that pushes you "over the edge!" Just PM me or my mom (DressageGeek "Ribbon Ho"), and she'll take care of it (once I tell her what to do).
And even better - if you buy items from either HorseLoverZ (www.HorseLoverZ.com), or from SmartPak (www.SmartPak.com) to send to our groups - SHIPPING IS FREE!!
(1) HorseLoverZ:
Email directly with the items they want to order to maria@horseloverz.com - they can invoice them and take the payment. They will then hold the invoices together and can ship them on a certain date. We are happy to help with the process! Remember, they have "Deals of the Day" so you can do a lot for your group!
(2) SmartPak:
Use their unique promo code when purchasing items for the Secret Santa. The code is: SPECHFS129 and it expires on 12/24/09.
And your monetary/goods donations are TAX DEDUCTIBLE because every group is 501(c)3.

We did ask for a sticky, but I'm sure Mod 1 has been, um, distracted, by a few other issues....

thankyou, I know full well the amount of work Theodore puts into the endeavor just so the ponies can have all the Dumors they want. Oh ya, and peeps.
Our horses are not seen as the old and disabled they may have become, but rather as the mighty steeds they once believed themselves to be.

It is NOT about the money. Even offering to help with thank you notes is a plus! Really - it is ALL good!
We are also in the process of asking specific companies - HorseLoverZ did this last year - that if you order from them for the Secret Santa, they will ship to the organization for free. Every little bit helps! And we will let all our wonderful Secret Santas know about these freebies.

It ISN'T about the money. It's really about showing support for the wonderful efforts of these groups. I know so many of my TB relatives have ended up in bad places and have been saved, and I know it could have happened to me. And then I think about how so many equines - even those nasty minis that chase TBs around the pastures - do so much to help PEOPLE because of equine assisted therapies. Big people, little people, veterans, people who are sad. We should let them know how important that is.
