Advise needed for Michael Barisone clinic
OK here is the problem. I had a date in October for a clinic. Things were going well. Then Fire Damage repairs interfered with the date and I had to re-schedule his clinic. Repairs done. He is now coming on Nov 21 and 22. Since all of the advertising for Vada/Nova and other NOVA papers have gone out I am kind of out of ideas to get the word out on his clinic date.
I know last time a lot of people said to me "Hey I had no idea he was at your place. I would have loved to have come even just to audit."
Somehow I am not advertising these clinics well enough. Any constructive ideas on how to advertise a top clinician from those of you who have done one or even if you attended and want to share how you found out about the clinic.
Any helpful advise would be greatly appreciated! I am seriously thinking of offering a free lesson with Michael on one of my horses or bring your own for the person who can help the most with this. My organizational skills are not the best!

Can you put it on your GMO web site?
Facebook?
Email anyone that has been to your farm for a show?
Email your member list from your GMO?
Any barns in your area you can partner with?
Show coming up you can ask the organizer to put a flyer in with the rider package?
Just spitballing some ideas.

I just wanted to say that when you posted the clinic initially on the bulletin board here, you didn't put the location. So I had no idea where it was.
Make sure you are advertising and marketing yourself, do you have a website?
We have a newsletter that gives information on all the clinics going on in NC. Do they have one for VA?

Even if you haven't meet the deadlines for the paper newsletter, some organizations can email their memberships.
If you have a makeshift flier I can post it in our barn and email the riding club I'm with. I can also put it on my facebook. I would love to ride in the clinic, but I'm stuck with my western saddle since my saddle doesn't fit my mare anymore. How much does auditing cost?

How about contacting the tack stores within 100 miles and asking if you can mail them some flyers for them to post?

And other barns. My barn is open, and there are always new flyers posted for clinics and schooling shows at other area barns.

Send an email to the Tri-State Riding Club. They send an email blast to the membership, and sometimes these things practically end up going viral! ;-)
Perhaps not quite your target audience, but I would think you might pick up some auditors...and it's just another way to keep spreading the word.
I know I am going to try to make it....would love to bring my green bean for some exposure...but perhaps next time!

Clinic is being held in Bluemont VA at Riverside Equestrian. see www.RiversideEquestrian.org for address and directions.
Shannon Pedlar is taking reservations for auditors. Her email address is [email protected]
If you absolutely need to please feel free to arrive without a reservation. Reservations are more to get an idea of how many chairs to get and how much food to prepare. I usually overcook anyhow so all are welcome!! Great time to be had by all!

OK Now I need ideas for the menu for lunch both days?
Roast beef hot off the rotisserie grill with fresh (possibly hot) rolls, caesar salad and homemade brownies. Additional food recommendations for this day?
Second day buffalo balls, and ????????? Maybe homemade pie?
Does a hot pasta dish work? What else do people like to have at this type of thing??
