    It looks very photoshopped.

I didn't think that at all. Maybe the background is taken out, but I didn't think the actual pony/rider were photoshopped.

I agree, the pony and rider don't look photoshopped at all (and are lovely). The overall picture, though, is very odd looking to me.

Edited to add that I'm talking about the cover with the grey pony on it.

There are several different versions of the Dover catalogue. I saw two sets of darling ponies/children on the covers in the store- a gray and a chestnut. I picked up the chestnut because I loved the evil pony glint in the eye.

the one with the chestnut pony in the mail today and coincidentally, just got my 10/23 COTH magazine and on page 15, it sure looks like the same pony and rider to me, Daisy Farish and "Ballou".

I think the Dover cover is adorable!

I believe the grey is Wise Guy with Alex Matz. They show pony jumpers

I just received the one with the chestnut pony on the cover, they are adorable together. But, is that tiny child wearing a shadbelly? Her jacket tails appear to be flying out behind her, and look to be much too long to be a regular hunt coat.

You're right, its Daisy and Ballou. And in the COTH photo she is definitely now wearing a shad, which answers my own question.
