    Default Fabriano Semen

I know this guy is getting up there in age -- his semen (frozen, obviously) used to be phenomenal -- at least that is what I heard.

He's one of those stallions I always meant to use, but never did. Has anyone used his semen recently (last year or so)?

I haven't used it, but would LOVE to. I was going to use him last year, however I heard from several different sources that his semen was less than exceptional (PTM around 45% if I'm remembering right..).

I've never had personal experiance with it, but would also be very interested to hear any successes with it

I have a 2006 Fabriano filly from a single dose. I also have a great vet. He didn't mention any concerns with the quality of the frozen -- I would remember that as I still have additional doses.

We used it to make a 2006 filly and it was super. TB maiden mare caught first time. Awesome foal. Would use it again in a heartbeat.

I also have a couple of doses of Fabriano but haven't used them yet. Can anyone tell me what he throws? What if mare is not very big? (16h)

Well, I guess it depends on the mare, but Fabuleux is 16.3hh, isn't he?

I know when I was watching the Fabuleux video I was impressed all over again at how balanced and near perfectly conformed Fabriano was/is. A real all-around athlete.

He has produced some super high-priced riding horses, even though he is primarily jumper-bred.

Mine is 15.2 out of a 16.1 mare. I have seen several others locally that were less than 16 hands. If were me, I would not breed Fabriano to a small mare.

Super horse though, producing versatile horses, with good minds, and amateur friendly. Many of the recent top AHS mares in the MPT have been daughters of Fabriano.
