    Default New Finger Lakes Finests!

2/2/12 - since this is an old thread and the links don't work I'm going to delete the links....
Want a horse that just oooozes "nice"???

Yep - he has a bit of lordosis and yep - he has a bit of a dent in his forehead from a very old "happening" but my gosh does this horse come across as wise and kind. You must see to appreciate. You can't see the dent in his photos and truly he has such a lovely face anyway that most people agree that the dent doesn't detract from his looks.

And look at this sweetie! She is just a lovely girl who has done riding on the home farm.

And here is Senor.... he's not new but he does need a home soon.

    [
And here is the lovely mare Somewhereinbetween. Her trainer said that out of all the interest this mare generated here on COTH that he only received one call.

    Default A Nice Bunch!

It seems like I find enthusiasm about every single horse put on the listings each week. Every, single horse listed is a diamond in the rough. Seriously. These are beautiful horses.

Shawklit Sister is built like a tank, gorgeous and just as sweet as she can be. Loves attention and peppermints. She's from an experienced horse family and has a great foundation as an all around riding horse.

Somewhereinbetween is also a peach. Look at those eyes!

Rockywithattitude was boarded on the farm where I have my horses last winter. He'd always have his head out looking for loving and treats. He's a good boy as well as a looker. Also a very well cared for horse coming from the barn of a great horseman.

Michael's Vow also comes from the barn of an experienced and compassionate horsewoman. Please call her to discuss him. She loves to talk about her horses and, if she says he's a gentleman, he's a gentleman.

I don't mean to dismiss anyone. A Young Minister has an extensive foundation as an eventer, so he can be ready to compete.

Please remember that any of these horses can be viewed if you schedule an appointment with one of the volunteers who will escort you around the backside to view these beauties up close and personal!

What a group of horses we listed this weekend! I was escorting caryledee around, but I managed to see three of the six in the flesh. Let me tell you, they are a gorgeous bunch of horses.

Of the three I saw, Shawklit Sister is absolutely beautiful, and has the sweet personality that you find in a lot of TB mares. She just loves to be loved.

Delicious Prospect is just that. She is only three, and she is as solid as a rock. The reason she is for sale is that she doesn't like the gate. Beautiful, beautiful young horse.

    http://fltrainerlist.proboards.com/i...ay&thread=1070

And, what can you say about Rockywithattitude except that this is a horse that looked like he was born to be a hunter. He has that calm majesty that really stands out in a crowd.

    http://fltrainerlist.proboards.com/i...ay&thread=1067

And, there is Watral's Senor. He has been on the board for quite a while. He needs to find a home because his owner won't be able to winter him. He's a gorgeous looking animal. Somebody needs a horse just like him.

I just wanted to add that the camera doesn't come close to capturing the true beauty of these animals...Delicious Prospect has the cutest ears I've ever seen! You can't see it in the pictures, but they are quite tipped at the ends. Shawklit Sister has a coat that will just glow this spring. I saw so many horses out there that weren't cutting it as racehorses but would be awesome prospects for other disciplines. They just need to be given the chance!

So many nice horses! And so many trainers who I am sure would love to see their animals go to a nice home.

Hope some COTHers are able to take some this year! Last year it seemed quite a few FL horses ended up with COTHers all over the country. I know the economy is not that great this year but hopefully at least a few find their way home with someone.....

Just saw Stormy King jogging along with his pony before Race 5 at FL today - what a nice big trot he has! Totally looked bigger then his 15.2 hands

Just a note for those of you on the fence about considering a slightly smaller beastie...
One of my 5 y.o. FL's who sticked about 15.2hh when he got to the farm grew! He's right around 16hh now (I sticked him over, my trainer sticked him under - I'll take the average)
I'm not saying that all the others will grow too, but it could happen - heck, I have proof that it does happen!
    Y'all ain't right!

I used to gallop BG Lark! Good mover, NICE filly, very sweet, kind, one of the good ones each morning, and at the farm she was at, that was rare She should grow a bit, I thought she was already 16 hands. When I knew her, she was called BG.

I really hope someone here gets her, she was always sound and she went out daily. I would love to hear how she does!

I wanted to add her pedigree:
    http://www.pedigreequery.com/b+g+lark

She's only 3 and I hacked her all through the woods, walked over logs, up and down hills. She turned out well, always came to the gate, she was a total love bug. I really hope she ends up somewhere great, she was such a cool filly to gallop and be around.

Thanks, Ishi, for the background on this lovely filly. She was just darling when we were giving her her moment! She kept craning her neck around to watch us and was so swet!

Random, and crazy, but I did a google search for my new horse "Michael's Vow" and this thread showed up! I just got him a little over a week ago, and he's amazing! Moves like a dream, jumps unbelievable, BRAVE, QUIET, and his personality doesnt get any better!

    He has a great home

The original thread is more than two years old. I think the old board, which is the one these links direct to, is no longer around (and probably none of the horses pictured there are available anymore anyway).

Track down the Fingerlakes Finest Rides Again thread for the link to the current board.
