Default Turning Point Farm GOV inspection results

Since it has not been posted, I will ty to put up what I wrote down. 1st of all, this is an absolutely incredible facility, and Jeanne was an angel of a host and it was a joy to see her aged stallion, Tantris, looking like a king watching over his subjects!

Temptress 1997 mare by Tantris - Main Mare Book
(this mare was entered into the MMB, her owner Pam Noll rescued her from a terrible situation and she looks absolutely beautiful now!)

Jemini Equulei 1992 mare by Enrico Caruso. Owned by Jean Laurence - MMB 6.0

Amari 1986 TB mare owned by Jennifer Hoffman - MMB
    (yes, 1986!)

Razz and Jazz 2002 Hano mare by Rio Grande owned by Alain Sehuet - MMB
(this mare had an injury to a leg which is currently keeping her from being ridden, but she was absolutely stunning)

Contessa 2006 Old mare by Contendro I/Voltaire - MMB and high scoring mare with an overall 7.0
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBb1qy2k3Po

    Maronja 2006 mare by Maronjo
(sorry, didn't get tp see this one go since we were next up!)

    PREMIUM FOALS
Soprano's Song - colt by Soprano out of Razz & Jazz owned and bred by Alain Seheut

Spyder - colt by Soprano out of EM Amelia owned and bred by Holly Kovach

Daiquiri Dancer - filly by Deluxe out of Karen's Dancer (TB) owned by Anecia Delduco

    Approved foals
    Delaney, Don Principe filly
    Tranquility Daze, Tantris filly
    Calamari, Coromino filly
    Darwin's Special, Don Alfredo colt
    Regatta, Rodioso filly
Rave about Me, Routinier colt (stunningly marked)
    Spitfire, Sinatra Song filly
    Remington, Rodioso colt

Lisa Swalinski and Amy Stika were there, maybe they remembered something that I did not. I hope that I got all of the Premium foals!

Was there a photographer at the inspection?

We have the full sister to Razz & Dazz with a Soprano foal coming.

There was only a videoographer. Alain's mare was lovely, congrats on your Soprano pregnancy! Both Sopranos went premium and I will be posting the video of Spyder as soon as it comes in the mail!

Many thanks to Jeanne McDonald, yet again opening up her lovely farm for the GOV inspection. It was nice to meet folks in person that I have only spoken to on the phone, or read their posts here on COTH.

Marne: Razz and Dazz is an impressive mare, her Soprano colt is WOW! I hope your Soprano turns out just as well. It looks to be a great cross.

Holly: Your Soprano colt was super nice as well, however.... your Contessa mare knocked my socks off! The video does not due her justice. She has so much presence, she is stunning. Your a fool to even consider letting this one out of your barn. She looks to be a great tribute to her dam.

The Routinier colt wins the bling award! High whites and matching blaze! He is a sweetheart as well. Gotta love those Rudy's !!!

I may be mistaken, but I think the Don Principe filly went premium as well.

What a great story on the Tantris mare, and thank goodness for microchips!

The inspectors were very informative and spoke of the attributes and faults of the horses presented. As usual, it was a great learning experience. Are we going to do it again next year? Fingers crossed... I will get to bring a foal next year!

RedRockarab: your filly was really nice. I have kept Don Principe on my short list for my TB mare and your filly may have pushed him a little farther to that top. Your filly was so feminine and classy.

You should write a "rags to riches" story for the GOV magazine about your mare. It makes for a great story! And a story book ending with that fancy filly to boot!

Ironhorse: Dutch went back to Routinier, fetal sexing says filly. If it's a chestnut I am coming to hunt you down, lock you in a closet, then take that Contessa mare of yours!!!

IHF -- Thanks for posting the news about the inspection and the links! Congrats to all and you should be really proud of that spectacular mare! I know you have worked hard to bring her this far and continue to work with her at home. Hats off!
