    Default Bio-availability of calcium in alfalfa

    Does anyone know what percentage of the total calcium from an alfalfa pellet or alfalfa hay analysis is actually bioavailable to horses? I understand that much of the calcium in alfalfa is bound to organics and is not available to horses.
