Default Barn Builder Recommendations: Frederick, Maryland

    Hi,
We are going to build a barn in the next 2-3 months.

Looking for any recommendations for barn builders in Frederick Maryland area.

We are looking at Horizon modular and Morton, but are interested in info about smaller contractors.

    thanks,
    Liz

    Contact Bridlewood Builders. http://www.bridlewoodbuilders.com/

They are primarily a custom home builder, but they do barns too. Terry is a horsewoman and understands what a barn needs. And Harrisburg isn't too far - they travel all over the place, so Frederick wouldn't be a stretch at all.

I got estimates from builders in PA and MD and the best price I got was Sunset

    http://www.sunsetbarns.com

I provided them with plans (thankfully we're a family of Architects) so they knew what I wanted.

They said they'd ship for free and wave tax.

Just came across this thread and giving it a bump. I'm also looking into the possibility of building a barn (and indoor) in Maryland, and shopping around for estimates. Any other suggestions or insight on builders in the area?

We are using Miller Brothers and have been happy with them.

Looked at King but was pricier than we were looking to spend (about 300K for what we wanted).

If you want metal post and beam try Bywaters Construction in Clear Springs MD outside of Hagerstown. They built mine and i am happy with it. It's a Lester building but I don't see Bywaters listed on the Lester site anymore. Maybe they use another brand now. I was happy with their work.

My neighbor and I had barns built by Pete in 1998 and they are wonderful. Service was wonderful and I have had no problems at all. They are not far from Frederick.
