Horseless Rider in Minneapolis, MN
I am a 29 yr old woman looking to get back into riding. I started riding when I was 10, was an active rider until I was 23, then it became very off and on (due to where I was living - NYC). A couple of years ago, I took some lessons to brush up, but then I moved again. I am small (5'2" and thin), so am most comfortable on ponies and smaller horses, but will also ride anything. I have soft hands and am patient. At my old stable, I was known for being the smallest adult who could get on the bratty ponies who were taking advantage of younger riders. I stopped taking lessons because I left the workforce to go to graduate school (graduating next spring, woohoo!).
I live in a western twin cities suburb, and am willing to drive at most 45 minutes one way. I would be willing to do barn chores in exchange for any riding time. Heck, I'll just groom until you trust me. I miss being around horses.

Need rider for medium pony in North Salem NY
I have a 7 year old medium pony hunter prospect that needs some extra rides! I live in the city and can only make it out about twice a week between work and grad school. She is still a little green, just needs more consistency in her workload. I'm 5'4" and don't have a problem riding her, though she is on the small side at 13.1. She's a super sweet pony and would love the extra attention Please PM me if interested!

He's a fun horse to ride and you wouldn't need to pay me anything - maybe just chip in on grain every once in awhile.
Send me a PM if you're interested - thanks!

Looking for a horse that would be at the NYS Breeders Show during the State Fair on August 25th - I would like to find a horse that could handle the All Breed Ladies Sidesaddle class and that's it! Would prefer to be able to school on it before hand!

Both a riderless horse and a horseless rider in SE TN
I sold my H/J when i moved to TN about 3 years ago and brought with me my 16 yr old TWH from PA (ironic right?) Anyway Honey is a fantastic horse to cover in glitter, braid, give kisses, and have the kids read books to but, she has some hormone issues and is suitable for trails only as she is horribly ring sour.
I also have a 8-10yr old arab mare Jazz that is great on trails not really spooky and actually a bit lazy. she will work in a ring fine but has foundered and can only do flat work. She has been off for a few years and is a little rusty but sweet natured.
OR if you'd prefer I have a 16hh grade (appendix?) mare that is slowww and quiet and forgiving under saddle named Ginger. A little bit of a ofe but good to build confidence on.
Ginger and Jazz are available to ride most days and are my beginner lesson horses (Jazz need a few more successful rides before the kiddo's ride her) it would be a good opportunity to drag you hubby or SO out on an easy trail ride.
Honey is available to the right person to ride or to anyone that just wants to give a horse kisses, she was horribly neglected and abused up one side and down the other before I got her she was actually given to me by a rescue that couldn't handle her 6 years ago, if your interested i'll give you more info.
All three mares are chestnut (and the gelding at the farm) But if you look on my website honey is the flaxen mane, and ginger has the smaller strip, and Jazz doesn't have pictures up.
Now why would someone who has 3 horses want to ride your horse?
Because since i've been down here i have not jumped anything more than a log and it's killing me. I miss riding hunters and jumpers more than anything else. I have owned horses for 12 years, managed barns for 8 and been around horses but not necessarily riding my entire life. I have taken jumping, dressage, and gymkhana lessons have a good seat and soft hands. I'm interested in schooling, hacking, or showing anything that you don't have time for or that may need a little work. I have riding, character, and vet references.
Thanks!

Riderless Horse in MARYLAND
Looking for someone to half lease my horse, but when school starts up, I won't be able to ride as often, so rider can have full use of him.
He is about 16.2-16.3 grey, 13 y/o, Trakehner gelding by Induc. Did hunters, dressage, and eventing. Hacks out alone or in a group. Not spooky, quiet and easy to ride. Beginners have ridden him in the past.
I am located in Anne Arundel County. Can be moved to your choice of barn for the right rider.

Horseless in New Jersey
I am looking for a riderless horse (or horses) within an hour drive of Princeton, NJ. I rode professionally (H/J) for many years, have competed in big eq finals and ridden jumpers through 1.5m. Now due to health, not interested in jumping big jumps or getting on wild and crazy ones any more, but I'm still capable of good flatwork or jumping over low fences. Honestly, I'd be perfectly happy just going out on a trail ride occasionally! Just in need of some horse time, and temporarily in a location where I am not connected with the local horse scene.

Horseless rider in SF Bay, CA
Hello! I'm a 21 year old college student who is home in the bay area for summer break until September 23rd, at which time I'll be at school in Santa Cruz. Before school starts up again, I'd like to spend more time with/around horses.
Though I've taken lessons for five years (switching to different instructors set me back quite a bit), I still consider myself to be a beginner rider. I am currently taking regular lessons with Jec Ballou, setting up a stronger foundation for riding.
I would love an opportunity to ride an older, experienced horse that perhaps hasn't had much to do lately, or even just spend quality one-on-one time with horses (grooming, handwalking, ect). I would be willing to do chores around the barn in exchange for horse time. I'm a responsible person who respects any and all boundaries set down.
I live in the Lamorinda area, and can travel up to 45 minutes to get to a barn.
Feel free to PM me, email me (ohwahn@ucsc.edu), or reply on this thread.
Thank you for reading!

Riderless horses in MD
I have a few nice horses that could use a few more rides a week then I am able to give them. They are located in Burtonsville/Silver Spring, MD Here are the details:
1) 5 yr old Hanx 16.2 hand mare. Still green but very willing and is going well under saddle. Going to make an amazing upper level dressage horse or eventer.
2) 10yr old 16 hand Oldenburg gelding. Was previously used in intermediate lessons. Show hunter
3) 16yr old TB 15.2 hand gelding. Super easy and quiet. Show hunter.
4) 6yr old OTTB. Has been restarted under saddle but still green.
All horses have great ground manners and no nasty habits.
I am trying to find an experienced rider who is looking to get some more riding time on some nice horses. Possible showing for right person.

Horseless rider in Tucson, AZ
I am a 27 year old former eventer/pony clubber (C3 level) looking for a horse to ride in Tucson, AZ. I had to give up my horse in 2008 to attend grad school, and am still going through withdrawl! I competed successfully at the novice level, and was schooling at the training level. I have a solid, competent riding background, sufficient knowledge of horse care, and am looking for any opportunity to get on a horse! I am willing to exchange stall-cleaning, tack cleaning, or other barn chores for rides. If you have any opportunities please email me at shale16@gmail.com. Thank you!

Riderless Horse in 5-College MA area
I have a lovely, green 4yo TB mare who will be moving to a barn with an indoor for the cooler months and could really benefit from some extra riding...I'm in my last year at school and just don't have enough time!
She's a sweetheart, completely sound, I have a truck and trailer and am completely open to some showing opportunities. I am gearing her towards eventing, but she is young and athletic and can go in any direction you'd like. Bombproof on trails with a buddy, safe and reasonable when alone.
Send me a PM if you're interested, I don't check this thread often but my PMs get bounced to my email!
Also, I do have a 15 yo QH gelding who is terribly out of shape right now but is a solid 1st level horse when in work, and can probably go farther than that if you put the effort in. He's got a touch more difficult personality than my mare so will be harder to find a rider for, but I am also open to someone riding him if they're looking for a horse with more experience.
Both are located in the Amherst area, close to UMass/Smith/Mt. Holyoke/Hampshire/Amherst. Open to a college student, or someone older!
Well isn't this dandy?

Three riderless horses in Mount Airy, MD
I have three horses who literally need boot camp. All have enormous talent, but need to be ridden frequently. I just had a baby, so I can't put the time into them that I'd like to. Could be relocated as a free lease to the right situation. They really just need to be ridden consistently... I'm looking for someone who is very dedicated and a good rider.
13 year old 14.3 H welsh mare. Amazing jumper. Great cross-country. Really fun to ride. Great on trails. Fast.
13 year old 13.2 H POA. Loves to jump but can be spooky. Needs a quiet rider, but would excel in pony jumpers. Really special horse.
4 year old homebred TB 15.2 H. Needs to be hacked. I am looking for someone who would just like to trail ride and play in the field with her. She is broke walk trot canter, but a little sour in the ring.
Pics available!

Semi-horseless rider east of Columbus, OH
Due to life circumstances, I will probably need to step down my riding in the coming months and through the winter/early spring. My horse would be fine with time off, but I would consider sharing with the right rider.
11-year-old 15.2hh TB gelding, evented successfully at Novice, correct dressage flatwork with no gadgets, and a willing/confident jumper. Goes in a KK eggbutt snaffle, including over fences and in the hunt field. Hacks out alone or in company, good ground manners, sound and healthy. Perfect for an intermediate or advanced rider. Will consider advanced beginners on a case-by-case basis.
Boarded in Pataskala, 35-40 minutes east of OSU or downtown Columbus. Facility has several large open meadows reserved for riding, a small but serviceable indoor arena, and some trail access. Horse must stay at current barn.
Preference given to riders who are interested in working with the in-house trainer (a specialist in dressage and foxhunting, but she's also getting back into lower-level eventing). PM me or email jlm4dg at gmail dot com.

Horseless in Mobile, AL
Hello,
I am 21. Been involved with hunter jumpers since I was 5 but grew up in a horsey family. Yes, I do own 2 oldenburgs like my signature says but they are back in my home state of Michigan with family.
To be honest, I am not in the best riding shape since it's been 2 years since I had a formal riding or jumping lesson and the last time I rode was in late June.
I am not too picky as any ride thrown my way is a gift to me. I am looking for some saddle time mostly and a chance to be around horses again.
PM me if you have any questions.
