Horseless Rider - Winston-Salem, NC
I'm a horseless rider located in downtown Winston-Salem, I am willing to travel 20ish minutes or so to you. I am 24 and have been riding since I was a kid - I owned two TB's that I competed in hunters and jumpers with - I had to sell them before college. I got back into riding again 2 years ago, I have been riding a nice belgian WB, but his owner has made the difficult decision to sell him so I will be horseless again soon! I work full-time so my availability is after 5 during the week and weekends, would be able to ride 2-3x a week. Would love to be at a place where I can take occasional lessons as well, but not imperative!
Please email if you need an advanced adult rider!

riderless horse, MA/CT/RI border
I'm going to take the plunge and put this out there
I have a 5 yr old OTTB gelding. he's been off the track since Nov 2011. He is the quietest horse I've ever dealt with, OTTB or other wise.
was hoping to put him in re training last spring,, but family health issues prevented it, so he's been sitting, with the exception of an occasional trail ride or a hop on and w/t for 20 mins or so.
I'm looking for someone who might be looking for a bit of a project. currently is @ home with us, we have a small round pen, but I'm willing to board him if you are able to help somewhat with costs.
please pm me if you're close and would like to see if you'd be a match! thanks in advance

Riderless Hores - NW Minneapolis Suburbs
Due to a torn tendon, I will be out of the saddle for a bit. I’m looking for someone who would be interested in riding/working with my 3 horses on a short term arrangement (length of time tbd based on healing time).
All three are Thoroughbreds – 15 year old mare – dressage and jumps, 13 year old gelding – dressage, and 7 year old mare (no riding, but possibly hand walking and lunging). All three horses are at the same facility, northwest of Minneapolis, which does have an indoor arena. I would be willing to work out a partial lease situation for the right person once I’m able to get back in the saddle.
Please PM me for additional information.

Riderless (sort of) Horse in Northern Virginia
I have a cute little mare who is coming back after an injury and I need some help getting her back in shape.
Right now it's just walking and trotting, but as she gets more fit you can progress to full work.
She's an 18 year old 15.2 TB/QH and is a very easy, quiet ride. She's mostly done hunters, although we are still up in the air over whether she'll jump again. Right now she's huffing and puffing a bit with work since she's been off for so long, but is a blast to ride once she's fit.
She's in Lovettsville at a place with an indoor, so you can pretty much ride any time. I'd like someone to committ to at least 2 days a week - that can include one weekend day if you want. And if you like her and want to ride more often, that is fine too.
I prefer someone at least 18 years old and an intermediate rider. This isn't because she's hard to ride (she's easy!), but because I want her fitness built up correctly - and you're going to need a strong leg at the beginning.
Let me know if you're interested. She's a doll and my barn is fantastic - I promise you will love her!

Riderless Horse - Commerce, GA
Looking for someone to hack a 17 hd. gelding 2-3 times a week, weekends are okay too. Lighted arena available. Friendly family barn atmosphere.
Horse is out of shape and needs to be legged back up. Prefer a rider with an English background. Light hands are a MUST. Horse is a big sweetie but will test his rider (no buck or rear). Tends to be lazy and want to fall behind the leg when out of shape. Needs a firm/confident person in the saddle. Complete puppy dog on the ground. He's not naughty but his size can intimidate some people and he will take his cues from you. If you're terrified of scary things in the woods he'll spook at them, if you're calm and relaxed he's unflappable. Tack can be provided. National show experience and titles. Fox hunting experience. Pretty been there done that guy. Fine with me if you want to use western tack occasionally, I would just prefer his training have an English feel. Possibility of showing in the future is open. Jumping is allowed and encouraged after some time spent rebuilding muscle on the flat but isn't required. Access to nearby trails and hills from the farm.
There is no pay for this position but no work required in exchange other than basic care of the horse before and after riding. Would prefer someone who can maintain a set schedule. May consider a lease option if all goes well.
Please include your previous experience. Horse is NOT suitable for a beginner or timid rider and may or may not work for a man due to early improper training. Relocation of the horse to another approved barn would be considered if all goes well initially.

Horseless (sort of) rider Eugene, OR
Looking for a horse to ride a few days per week. Anything from a come to your place and ride situation to a part or full lease.
Right now I have one mare who is still recovering from an injury in August and will be bred in March, and one mare that is retired.
I'm not picky about age, breed or discipline, but sanity is a must.
Never approach a bull from the front, a horse from the rear or a fool from any direction.

Riderless horse in Augusta, GA - Great ride!
Looking for a rider for my very large, 7yo thoroughbred (he looks and acts more like a WB). I'm in the later stages of pregnancy and would like to keep him in work while I am riding less. (you can see a photo of my boy by clicking my account name)
This is a very specific situation with definite parameters. I'm looking for a (truly) intermediate level rider who is interested in working with a talented horse. I started him late and when I slowed down our training program we were solid at training level in dressage and moving forward quickly, and riding Novice level courses. I'm looking for someone who is willing to ride him 2-4x per week on property. These are the basic terms but if I found the right person I would be willing to explore showing opportunities, etc.
This situation would be ideal for a rider currently without a horse who is looking to expand their skills without a financial commitment. This horse is a fantastic ride who is willing, easy, and loved by every professional who has worked with him. Moreover, he is talented and is a great horse to compete on.
Finding the right person would benefit me because my horse would at the very least maintain, and possibly move forward in his training. I am not looking for someone to casually trail ride or use my horse to work on their basic skills. I'm looking for someone with at the very least a functional riding style or some amount of formal education.
Please let me know if you are interested by contacting me via email! I am not likely to check this thread often! kdogseven at gmail dot com
THANKS!

Horseless Rider in Birmingham, AL
I am a college student in Birmingham with 15 years of experience riding hunters and jumpers. I can ride pretty much anything- I'm 5'2 and 100 lb so that includes ponies. Before leaving for college I showed my hunter in Children's and schooled 3'6 at home; would've moved up to Juniors but we were selling my guy and wanted him to remain eligible for first year green. This summer I worked for a trainer back at home and was able to ride a variety of green and seasoned hunters and jumpers. When I'm home a friend graciously lets me ride her foxhunters, but I'd love to find something to ride when I'm at school, too. I can provide references if needed. I'd like to find something no more than 30 minutes away, but I'd be willing to travel further for the right situation. If you're interested please PM me as I don't check this thread regularly. Thanks!

Need RIDER in NC
Due to my daughter's new job I am looking for an experienced amateur jumper rider to ride my Holsteiner Mare. She needs to be ridden at least 4 days/week. I will pay for 2 lessons per month with a great trainer in this area. You can show her at the A shows if you want - she is a high performance jumper but has had time off from the show world (not the excercise world) since my daughter finished school and started work. I would like to see her show at the Adult Jumpers to start (and she has done that). She has a few years of shows behind her and at 10 years old she has obviously not been pounded. This is like a free lease on a six figure horse. I have a private barn with an all weather footing riding arena. All her tack is custom and all you need is your riding apparel. I am in the Triangle Area (west of Raleigh). Please let me know if you are interested. Thanks

Horseless Rider in Boulder/Denver area.
Hello All!
I have been riding since I was young, rode for several years as groom/manager for a 4* rider back east have done dressage, hunters, jumpers and training. I no longer own because I was involved and still am on the other side of the industry and have moved around or been traveling .Im currently a Sales Rep for a major riding brand! Im looking for someone who has a horse or horses that need some extra time under saddle that they just dont have time for. I know it can be quite scary to let some random person hop on your baby. So lets get together and test each other out its got to be the right fit for everyone! I have had experience with "special needs" horses and the sensitive types and love them! Really just looking to get back in to the barn!
Send me a PM if you have a four legged friend that needs some extra attention!

Horseless Rider - northern VA
I am looking for a large pony or horse for on site lease or off site lease that rides/show English and/or western. I'm an adv. beginner with confidence issues. 14.3-16.1h, under 18 year old, mare or gelding.
I will cover all expenses, insurance (if required). References available.
We could all take a lesson from crayons: some are sharp, some are beautiful, some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they still learn to live in the same box. Unknown.

Horseless Dressage Rider - Northeasten MD (Colora)
Horseless dressage rider seeking Schoolmaster for part/full free lease situation:
Due to a variety of reasons I won't bore you with, I have not been able to ride much during the last year. I recently moved to MD and am looking for a schoolmaster type to help me get back into the swing of things and rebuild my confidence. Prefer WB geldings over 16.2 as I am tall. Safe and sound more important than big gaits. Open to getting creative with free lease options, half or full lease, on or off site, etc.
