Squeaky was rescued along with his littermates from a feral cat colony in June. Unfortunately, shortly after I got them, some other kittens I had got sick with feline distemper, and I had to minimize my contact with the healthy kittens for a while. So he didn't get handled as much in the beginning as he should have, and he's been living in my office/spare bedroom the whole time -- a pretty sheltered existence.
He is definitely on the shy/timid side, but you can tell he is REALLY interested in people and really WANTS to interact with you -- he's just a little scared. So he will need a really animal-savvy home with someone who understands that he will be petrified at first and will need some time to come around. He WILL come around, it will just take time.
He sits in my lap when I'm at my desk, and will wind around my feet and beg for attention. LOVES to be petted. He can be picked up, although it makes him a little nervous -- we've been working on that. He gets along great with other cats, and he's also been around a very cat-friendly dog a little bit, and was a little scared, but interested.
He has this tiny little meow that is barely audible (which is how he got his name). Already neutered, current on vaccinations, tested negative, etc. He will need a relatively quiet home, but I think he'll be a great kitty for the right person. He's too sweet to be a barn kitten. He is probably about 5-6 months old now.
I'm happy to deliver him anywhere within reasonable driving distance.
