Do you have any sort of movie making program on your computer? Many new model come with something.
Can you get your videos onto your computer in order to edit them? If you can, and if you have a movie making program, then you simply open the program, add the unedited footage and follow the specific directions of your program. I would imagine almost all programs have ways for you to add text and music as well.
I use Pinnacle (which I bought) and believe me, it's very easy to follow their directions - otherwise I would have no clue what to do!
First you create the movie on your computer using Windows Movie Maker or some similar program. It is quite easy. It is pretty much drop and drag. You can do a bunch of different fading transitions between the pictures and videos. I have to admit it is quite addictive once you get the hang of it. You can really create some great keepsakes.
You use WMM (Windows Movie Maker) or iMovie which should already be on your computer. You upload video clips onto there and you can add effects, cut sections out, add words etc. You can add music if it's in MP3 format or you can convert it using a software called Switch Audio Converter (30 day free trial available online- just change all your music at once). Good luck & have fun!
You can upload pictures and video clips to WMM, iMovie, Vegas, etc. On WMM after finishing the movie go to "file" and then "publish movie" to get it in the right format for YouTube. Saving it in the new format can take a while (easily 5+ minutes) depending on length of the movie. When logged into YouTube you can then upload the video- on the homepage, you'll see "upload" in the upper right hand corner below the sign out- just follow the instructions on YouTube to complete the upload.
