Assorted chickens and 3 roosters: SE PA
I have 15 chickens that I would like to give away. They are good layers, but we have found ourselves eating fewer eggs, so we're hoping to rehome them. They are two years old.
I think this is what we have (I'm not a chicken expert I just tried to look them up online).
-3 plymouth rock (black and white speckled)
-2 red hens
-2 ameraucana (lay "easter blue" eggs)
-3 polish (black and white speckled)
-2 silkies (1 dark gold, 1 black)
-1 bantam Rooster with feathers on feet -- slate/gray/white colored
-2 tiny Welsummer roosters (very pretty!)
Located 2 miles from New Bolton Center, Kennett Square, PA.

Also: they don't all have to go together, if you just need one or two that's fine. And we also have 3 other Polish chickens I forgot about... 1 apricot, 1 white and 1 black & tan.

Thinking about heading that direction sometime over the next few weeks to go tack shopping. If I do I wouldn't mind getting 2-3 hens. Ours aren't laying yet and I want fresh eggs! If someone else comes along don't hold them for my sake. I'll PM you if we're coming that way.

Do you know anyone going to the Horse Park of NJ in the near future who would be willing to bring along a couple of hens? I would like a few and could pick them up from there.

I don't know anyone heading up there in the near future, but will keep that in mind. I could also meet someone halfway or near us (South eastern PA)

I'm very close to you, near Fair Hill, MD but still in PA and would LOVE these chickens building to protect them for now. I wish I could take them, believe me I do want them. Do you have anything, a very small building that could be moved? I could pay a small amount for it, really short on cash right now but your chickens sound awesome. I need to really protect them, all of my chickens only 6, but 5 were killed by different predators and dogs I think and at different times. Finally after her rooster was killed Penny came running to me when I got there saying, "Mom, they killed my husband, help me." So I had to guard her so closely and finally gave her to someone since she was all alone and after about a year she died, don't know why or how. She was the life of parties at their house, playing with the kids, demanding to share their food at picnics too. She was a little Rhode Island Red but I had a couple other colorful birds too, one that laid blue eggs.

I can take all of them.
My 8 yr old daughter shows chickens as one of her 4-H projects.
Let me know when.
