    Default Thanks Thomas for telling me how to feed barley!

    Thanks for all the info when I posted about barley awhile back. The hard keeping TB is puting on more weight and his coat looks great. Plus it turns out it is cheap in my area, $5 for 50lb.

    I am curious about barley myself.

    But I don't know how to feed it or what kind to buy.

    We are feeding whole barley as that is the only stuff that was available so it needs to bo soaked. The one TB needs mollasses mixed in. The other 2 do not

    I've fed barley for 2 years now. I still feed 11% pellets and some sweet but cut it all with barley to save $. Horses have kept weight and shine. I get it flaked and sometimes it have flaked corn in it too from the mill.
