I have a five year old Oldenburg/Trakehner/TB gelding free to a good home. He is a bright chestnut with a star, 16 hands, and he's got a really wonderful personality. He's a total goofball who loves to be brushed, scratched, and loved on! He tore a tendon as a two year old and recovered enough to be lightly started under saddle earlier this year. I free leased him out to a girl with hilly pastures, and he went off again on the hills. So he's back at my place now, and I'm looking for a non-riding home for him that is relatively flat (small hills are ok, just not big steep hills). He's good with other horses, and has been out with everything from drafts to yearlings to minis.
If a home isn't found soon, I feel like I have no option other than to put him down - I do not have the space or money or time to care for him how he should be cared for right now. So if you know of anyone who may be interested, please please please send them my way.
I am willing to help with shipping to the right home and would like to give him away with no strings attached, or I may be willing to try a free lease again if it's the right situation with a contract. We're located a little east of Cincinnati, Ohio. Please e-mail me at [email protected] if interested.
I would also be interested in pasture boarding him very cheaply if anyone knows of somewhere near Goshen, Ohio. The only places I've found so far around here have giant steep hills. Thanks.
