WHOA, those guys are amazing! Not only could they remove their stirrups while cantering around, they took the saddle off WHILE going? Seriously?

If showing is making you cranky, try this instead http://www.lehighvalleywheelmen.com/...yer%202009.pdf -- Or perhaps we could adapt this to our sport -- How about a power and speed class where you consume a donut before the speed phase? -- Guess it's not fair to eat in front of your horse -- Let's give them a peep while the rider inhales the donut --

I've got a funny story to add!

I moved my horse to a working farm (sort of) this past spring. Working include chickens, geese, a donkey and cattle. Now, horse had never seen any of those, let alone a herd of cattle. After being there and occasionally seeing the herd wander around I needed to turn her out for an hour, but didn't want her completely alone. So I stuck her out with the herd. There were lots of new calves out there and of course, the herd bull. I take her halter off and she does her usual spin/squeal/buck/gallop routine. She gets about ten strides out and suddenly notices the cows standing out there (all staring at her like she was an alien). Hehehe... horse jumps about ten feet sideways hits the brakes and lets out this huge "OMG SNORT!!!!" Stands there for a few seconds trying to figure out how in the world those big black aliens got in HER paddock. Then she starts slowly walking up to them and they start walking away. Light bulb moment! Horse starts trotting... cows walk away a little fast and calves kind of trot out of the way. Light bulb gets brighter! And now she runs through the herd... cows and calves alike scoot FAST to get out of her way. She spent the next five minutes or so chasing calves, the cows ended up ignoring her. Probably thought she was some kind of weirdo.

The herd was in the front paddocks this August, and Panache got turned out with them. She's a fiesty six year old who was getting too dominant and aggressive towards her 20+ year old horse herd mates. Now she loves her cows and got quite upset when they moved to a back paddock last weekend and she didn't get to go with them. It was fun to see her standing out in the middle of a herd of cattle grazing alongside.

These have been posted before. If the love this little boy has for his pony doesn't make you cry (like it does everytime I watch it) then I don't know what will. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvbR0PkTY1o

And watching these cute little kids and their little Thelwell like pony's make me smile! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7FqgQen0wU
