Caramel Sundae is a 13 year old, 13.3 hand Haflinger mare, typical chestnut with white mane and tail, very sturdy and solid. She has pony clubbed through C-1, done event rally, games rally (went to nationals for games,) tetrathlon, etc. Also trail rides. Loads and rides in the trailer the best. Sundae has been treated twice for lyme disease and is once again showing signs of lameness. She had been sound this year on a new joint supplement, but we are trying to sell her and she came up lame when we were showing her to a prospective buyer yesterday. I expect she would stay sound with regular work (she was totally sound for games this spring, including trips to Maryland and New Jersey to play MGA games, and regular 2 hour practices all spring) but with time off and occasional riding, she gets sore. Sundae came to us with a reputation as a bucker, and does buck occasionally, although with careful saddle fitting and a gel pad that behavior has mostly disappeared. Her bucking is not vicious, mostly just if the rider tips forward, she gives a little buck to remind him or her to sit up.
So, we are looking for the perfect home for Sundae. Maybe trail riding, lower level pony club, low level mounted games. She should stay in regular work and probably should not do a ton of jumping. She does wear shoes with pads when working. She is an easy keeper, but needs a joint supplement. Someone with experience with Lyme Disease would be perfect for her. I have pictures I can send to interested folks. We are located in southeast New Hampshire. This is a giveaway, not a free lease. We have too many beasties.
I would love to have this girl to go with my Registered Haffie gelding that would pass for her twin brother WOW ! what a pair they would make, Awesome to say the least, But NH is a long way from Tn.
Anyone coming this way ? ?
