My roommate and I just moved in to a new place. We have SO. MANY. WALLS. with nothing on them, currently. Since we are both horse nuts (met at the barn), we're going to put pictures of our horses and ones we like a lot. So far we've got:
Who is YOUR favorite, and link to your favorite picture of them!

Spectacular Bid is my favorite. Aside from that you can do lots of fun horsey things like hang a western saddle pad on a small wall, hang a derby with a scarf tied around it, an old bridle from a favorite horse or a halter is always nice on a wall. Use a western saddle pad as a rug, don't' limit your imagination, have fun.

You know...come September 1st, you can bid on some incredible prints of these horses...and more...and your winning bid would not only net you some fabulous prints but also help out a 501(c)3 equine rescue...just sayin'...
Any pictures that I hang on my walls is always matted- I get cheap mats (preferably double mats) and frames from Wal-Mart. You just go up a size- a 5x7 gets an 8x10 frame, etc. Sometimes you can find cool pictures in postcard or greeting cards, add a $2 mat and $2 frame and it looks like artwork.
Also, stop at ANY garage sales or flea markets that you come across. I have decorated my entire living room in almost nothing but old, antique tack. Things like rusty bits, bridles that are too dry-rotted to restore, reins, halters, spurs, curb straps, etc.
Basically, anything that I couldn't actually use, went on my walls!! (Used horseshoes included!)
I also have an old western saddle pad that I cleaned up and use for a rug.

Reason: Forgot something
My roomie is a fashion merchandizing major. Suffice it to say we don't really see 'eye to eye' on the whole decorating thing. She's going to die once we're both really in the swing of things b/c my wellies, tack, etc. ARE going to creep into common areas....
Have fun decorating your horsey apartment! I'm jealous!
