    Default what are the pros or cons

    to presenting a yearling as opposed to a weanling?

    Depends on the registry - GOV awards "premium foal awards" to weanlings but yearlings are ineligible. Honestly, I don't think people really put much stock in that award though, since we all know it's based on *one* day in a foal's life... could be a good day, could be a bad day.

    The AHS will inspect a yearling to verify markings, but they aren't presented as a suckling foal is.
