    Smile Saddles

I have a saddle that I think might be a German Cavalry saddle, but I can't tell for sure. Any thoughts on this saddle?

Hmmm, apparently I can't upload pictures... I have a link to my post on another forum site. Yes it is MY thread and I posted those pictures, but I can't figure out how to do it here. Anyway, any thoughts or places to look or recommendations are appreciated.

nobody wants to help me? 50+ views and no replies. I really would like to know what it's worth... there are some antique people around here- but I want to make sure I get a fair price out of it and I don't get ripped off. I found it at a junk auction and bought it to ride in- but the billets for the girth are too wide for the buckles on my girth. I was planning on selling it to buy a new synthetic, but I need help figuring out what it is. I followed their advice on the other forum, and it looks kind of like the old German trooper saddles, but not completely and it's not marked anywhere. I couldn't find a picture anywhere that looked just like it, close but no cigar-so to speak. If anyone has seen one of these and knows what it is- PLEASE speak up.

    Try
    www.militaryhorse.org/forum/

and post better pictures so they can help you.

    Edit:
The thumbnails are too dark but I "clicked"; and the bigger picture is OK.
So nevermind my "better pictures" comment.
The military horse forum has had terrible problems with Spam and Trolls,
so it is hard to join. You might do better just asking the moderator to post
the info for you. I have seen many threads where they discuss old tack,
wagons, uniforms, so I know they will help if they can. Also, I know they
    have European members.

    Good luck.
