Default Acrylic patches in feet & bathing

My horse pulled the same shoe two weeks in a row and lost quite a bit of hoof wall. Since he needed acrylic, his feet now need to stay dry, i.e. no baths. It's really hot here, plus he likes to play in his automatic waterer and splash his front feet and legs. Any suggestions for keeping his feet dry?

Good luck, my horse had acrylic each shoe job for at least the last six months and it never lasted on his foot even four weeks. If it was used to reconstruct the wall and give the farrier something to nail to (as in my case) then as soon as it is gone you are shortly going to loose that shoe and should get the farrier out before it takes more hoof wall (speaking from experience).

Stomping flies seemed to be worse than anything though...
