Default Still possible to get winning pics of 14 year old?

I know this is a long shot but I am asking you professionals!!!

I have a 1995 TB mare by the name of "Iron Anchor." She was bred in MD and was "Black Type" apparently. She has a forever home with me and has a 3 year old (owned by Hattie,) an 8 week old and we'll ultrasound next Tuesday to see if she's in foal.

    1) Is there any way to get a race picture of her at this late date?
    2) Any way to look up her original breeder? I have his name and know she was bred in MD.

She's such a lovely mare and I'd like her original owner to know she's well loved and safe for life. Any help would be much appreciated.

Iron Legs is more like it! She had 50 starts, 7 win, 6 place, 10 show.

    1) Yes Most track photographers have archives of win photos. Her wins were at Assiniboia Downs (Oct 3, 1999, Aug 21, 1999, Oct 2, 1998, Sept 19, 1998, July 25, 1997), Finger Lakes (Nov 27, 1999) and Fort Erie (June 4, 2000). Assiniboia: I could not locate the photographer's number but the track # is 204.885.3330 and they can help you further. Fort Erie main number: 1-800-295-3770. Finger Lakes track photographer is Tom Cooley at 585-924-3232 x 258.

    2) There are a few ways to get a hold of a breeder. I am not familiar with your mare's breeder but perhaps you can call a MD-based racing organization or maybe some of the MD folks here will know how to get in touch with him.

    Good luck!

I can't thank you enough. You've given me goosebumps. She's such a lovely mare and went from the track to the jumper ring. She's the best broodmare I have ever known and her two existing babies have her incredible temperament. She only retired from the jumper ring when she sustained a high suspensory injury. Just a lovely, lovely mare and I thank you.

    Good luck, chickie
    Your mare is gorgeous.

btw, Adelaide is doing fantastic, and I was able to get her win pics, which are amazing! I was also able to see vids of her racing, online.

Good luck! I got my TB's win pics at age 13...photog was initially bewildered and had to dig them out of his archives of *real* print negatives, but he still had them and was glad to sell them to me. I love them!

I will call all the numbers provided tomorrow (thank you, thank you.) The pictures in my album are of Quinny, not Meredith BUT I will post a picture of the beautiful Meredith. Who names a RACE horse "Iron Anchor?" Luckily, she outran her name. For a redheaded, Thoroughbred mare, she is an unbelievable citizen. She has chronic uveitis and after a visit with the opthamologist, I had to put meds in her eye 3 times a day. Meredith is a true 16.2 and I am 5'4" and yet she'd turn her head to allow me to medicate.

I've heard TBs referred to as "iron horses" but yeah Iron Anchor sounds kind of counterproductive. Pretty girl. Redheads rock.

My horse came out of his race last night with eyes full of polytrack Same thing, blow out the tearducts and in goes the polymicin. Poor babies, huh?

We usually run in clear shields because of this. Blinker maker is making a fortune off those.

I received the only photo available and wanted to thank you for the information and also wanted to share it with you. This mare has a remarkable temperament and has become a wonderful broodmare. Again, my thanks. I am so thrilled to have this picture of her.
