Wow! I sweat when I ride, a lot! My saddle is suffering!
My saddle is showing more than a little wear, prob from my damp bottom! I don't have the $$ to fix it, can I get by at least temporarily, with a seat saver?? I saw the Mattes seat saver for over $100 but wanted some opinions, and suggestions.
By the way, I ride in breeches everyday! I also ride from 3-7 horses a day too!
One of the dressage riders at my barn has a seat saver (not sure of brand) but it makes her saddle very comfy. You might also use some waterproofing on it to see if it helps make it more resistant to the sweat.
A seat saver will definitely help. Plus you ride 3-7 horse everyday, so you are not only saving you're saddle from moisture, but you are also saving it some wear and tear from riding 3-7 horses everyday. Sounds like a good idea! Plus it will be really comfy!
