Default Getting JC Papers for 1993 Mare for RPSI Inspection

So, I have a TB who is quite nice conformationally and has proven her athleticism in the show ring as well. She now has a 2 mo Zweibrucker stud colt at her side. I want to present both of them at an RPSI inspection on August 30th.

I never got JC papers on her despite the old owner saying she would get them to us about 7 years ago. Recently, I met her fresh off-the-track owner on another forum and she said that she thought she still had the papers herself and would give them to me when she found them. Unfortunately, she could never find them, but did find a good photocopy of them so we know her lines and registration number.

As far as we know, she is still the "owner" according to JC.

How would we be able to go about this in order to get her reregistered in time? It would be nice if she was at least eligible for Main Mare book, though, since the stallion is in Book II (needs competition results still), I know this colt will only get white papers.

    6. How can I replace my horse's papers that were lost?

Complete a duplicate certificate form and submit the following to The Jockey Club:

    * Four (4) color photographs clearly indicating all identifying markings taken from the front, rear and both sides. If no identifying markings are present, please submit a fifth (5th) photograph of a close-up of the face indicating all cowlicks present

    * Bill of sale from owner or other form of proof of ownership.

    * Notarized statement from the owner or authorized agent describing in detail how the certificate of foal registration was lost or destroyed.

    * Duplicate fee (see Fee Schedule).

There have been several threads on this topic if you do a forum search. Off the top of my head I can remember folks suggesting using a black light to help highlight the ink, and/or taking pics of the tattoo then using a photo editing program to increase the contrast to help read the numbers. Post a pic here and we will offer our opinions.
